Organic Raw Cacao Butter, Coconut Oil & California Olive Oil infused with fresh picked California Lemons, Ginger & Marshmallow Root. With 15% Non-nano Zinc Oxide, Organic Beeswax & Distilled Water.
Zinc oxide comes from the natural mineral zincite. Non-nano (larger than 100 nanometers,) is preferred to nano zinc oxide, as its larger particles reflect more sunlight & are too large to be absorbed through the skin.
Marshmallow Root (Althea officinalis) provides superior hydration, capable of holding 1,000 times its weight in water! The Latin name Althea comes from Greek “althos” ~ to heal. It contains vitamin D & Hyaluronic acid to help skin maintain elasticity. This herb combines beautifully with Zinc & Beeswax to form a protective barrier on the skin, while Lemon peel & Ginger offer antioxidant & anti-inflammatory compounds, such as limonene, circumene & linalool.
This formula is water resistant, though like most sunscreens, may need to be reapplied every 2-3 hours.
